Cinco Ranch Real Estate Information

Situated within both Fort Bend and Harris counties in Texas, Cinco Ranch is a master-planned community that is part of the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Houston. Home to over 11,000 Texans, Cinco Ranch is just twenty-five miles west of downtown Houston and is about ten miles north of Richmond, the closest sizeable city. Developed before Texas became part of the United States, the community was first started in the 1820s when pioneers were granted the authority to settle the area between the Brazos and Colorado rivers.

Because Cinco Ranch is quite an exclusive community, residents have become accustomed to immaculately maintained neighborhoods, safe streets, and exceptional amenities. The Beach Club includes a half-acre swim lagoon, white sand beach, several sail boats, sand volleyball courts, and picnic areas. The Water Park is comprised of three swimming pools, a spray park, water slides, tennis courts, playgrounds, and even basketball courts. A number of recreation centers are conveniently located throughout Cinco Ranch, namely North Lake Village Recreation Center, Greenway Village Recreation Center, South Ranch Recreation Center, Park Hollow Recreation Center, and Highland Park Recreation Center. Amenities at each center range from a simple park and pool to extensive sport courts, playgrounds, cabanas, and meeting rooms.

Education is taken very seriously in Cinco Ranch, as evidenced by its extensive local school system. As part of the Katy Independent School District, Cinco Ranch has six elementary schools, three junior high schools, and two major high schools. Additionally, the Houston Community College System serves Cinco Ranch with a satellite campus. The Fort Bend Country Libraries System also has a location in Cinco Ranch to serve local residents.

For avid golfers, Cinco Ranch’s own 167-acre Evergreen Alliance Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-71 course covered in bunkers and water hazards. The daily fee facility is open to everyone and includes junior instructional clinics, an academy, and a player development program. To supplement the golf facility, there are a number of neighborhood parks that offer residents the opportunity to fish, jog, skate, bike, or even hike.
